Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program - Adults (Adult DARP)
What is Adult DARP?
This is an intensive, year-long outpatient drug and alcohol recovery program. It is designed for clients who have limited funds but still want treatment in an out-patient setting.
What does Adult DARP consist of and how can it help me?
The program is presented in two phases:
Primary/Early Recovery (20 weeks)
Clients may join the program at any time. In the primary phase, groups of 8 - 10 clients meet three times a week for ninety minutes sessions. The principle focus is on education and the sessions cover:
The facts about drug and alcohol use
Getting honest (causes of use and its effects)
The process of addiction
Medical aspects of drug and alcohol use
Social and peer pressure
We will also create a treatment plan that will meet your needs. This plan may include individual counseling if desired.
Aftercare/Relapse Prevention (32 weeks)
During this phase, clients meet in small groups for ninety minutes twice a week.
