Our counselors have specialized training to help you make lasting changes in the way you live your life so that you can successfully maintain a substance-free lifestyle.
Our counselors are prepared to help you with understanding how to begin the process of treatment. We offer free consultation for a variety of programs to fit your needs, including:
- Drug and alcohol recovery for adults
- Drug and alcohol recovery for teens
- Drug and alcohol testing services
- Intensive outpatient treatment programs
- Court-ordered education programs
We are also accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) as an outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center for adults and teens, assuring you that the services you receive meet the highest possible standards.
Meet the Staff
Our staff of certified drug and alcohol counselors have the training and experience to help individuals understand and overcome their addiction. The program is directed by a nationally accredited California Association of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC) specialist.
Mike Kellam, Director of Adult Drug & Alcohol Services
Mike Kellam is Director of Adult Drug and Alcohol Services at Axis. He holds certifications from the National Association for Addiction Professionals, the California Consortium of Addiction Professionals, and the CSU East Bay Addiction Studies program. He specializes in co-occurring conditions, and uses a multi-level “Client Centered Approach” to customize treatment plans. Mike has worked with Axis since 2008, and addiction treatment is his passion as well as his career.
Jeanie Slater, Program Manager for Teen Drug & Alcohol Recovery
Jeanie is Program Manger for the Teen Drug & Alcohol Recovery Program at Axis. She has a BA in Psychology from Ashford University, and is a Registered Addiction Counselor. Jeanie has 30 years experience in the substance abuse field and has been focused on adolescents for the last three years. She is passionate about reducing the impact of substance on the lives of our youth.
